To celebrate our one year anniversary, Bryan took me to dinner at The Mellow Mushroom in Auburn, Alabama - the place where we had gone on our first date exactly one year earlier. After dinner, we walked down the street to Toomer's Corner - the heart of downtown Auburn and the place the students go to celebrate a big win.  It was raining so we stood under an umbrella. Bryan told me he was going to give me a Christmas present a little early. He pulled out a box which I immediately recognized as being Tiffany blue! Before I could open it, he told me there was a contingency.  "Will you marry me?" he asked. I leaned in close - in a state of disbelief - and whispered, "Are you for real asking me?" He pulled out a diamond and platinum engagement ring and said, "Is this for real?" I couldn't breathe, but eventually managed to whisper, "Yes." I put on the ring and the next several minutes were a blur of hugs, kisses, tears and screams of delighted yesses!!!!! When I finally remembered the little blue box, I opened it to find a silver bracelet with the initials K.L.P. engraved on it!!! My new initials!!!
