Wedding announcement...
The
bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. William N. Ledbetter of Auburn, Alabama. The
groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Anderson Price, Jr. of Winchester,
Tennessee. Jim
Brinkerhoff, minister and friend of the bride and groom, performed the ceremony. A
program of nuptial music was presented by a childhood friend of the bride, Molly
Countermine Witzke, who sang a selection of contemporary pieces including James
Taylor’s “How Sweet It Is”, The Beatles’ “In My Life” and Van
Morrison’s “Brown Eyed Girl”. She was accompanied by her husband, René
Witzke, on guitar. Additionally, the groom’s sister sang The Beatles’ “I
Will” with keyboard and guitar accompaniment from the Witzkes as the mothers
were being seated. The
bride was given in marriage by her father, who escorted her down the aisle as
Molly Witzke sang Maxwell Strait’s “Elle Avait”. The
matron of honor was Heather Reese Ormond of Dallas, Texas. Bridesmaids were Edie
Couch Beckum of Lexington, South Carolina, Emily Holder, niece of the groom, of
Winchester, Tennessee, Wendy Lancaster Homer of Cranbury, New Jersey, and Dawnn
Dollar Kilpatrick of Roswell, Georgia. Tiffany Thompson of Dallas, Texas served
as the wedding coordinator. Mark
Mattox of Birmingham, Alabama served as best man. Groomsmen were Greg Douglas of
Shelbyville, Tennessee, Duane Hickey of Nashville, Tennessee, and Drew Holder,
nephew of the groom, of Winchester, Tennessee. The
brothers of the bride, Hal Ledbetter of Huntsville, Alabama and Steve Ledbetter
of Saint Louis, Missouri served as ushers. Olivia
and Anna Marie Ruch, nieces of the groom from Raleigh, North Carolina, served as
flower girls. Will Holder, nephew of the groom from Winchester, Tennessee,
served as ring bearer. Following
the wedding, the bride’s parents hosted a reception in the Auburn University
Club’s clubhouse. Guests were entertained by a local jazz combo, The Jazz
Project, as they enjoyed a buffet dinner. After
a wedding trip to Vancouver Island, British Columbia, the couple is at home in
Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Parties A lingerie
shower was held on Saturday February 22 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Travis
Ormond in Dallas, Texas. Heather Ormond and Tiffany Thompson served hostesses.
The guest list included the mother of the bride and friends of the bride from
Dallas, Atlanta and Auburn. A dinner
party honoring the bride and groom was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mason
Dollar in Auburn, Alabama on Saturday March 1. Hostesses included Priscilla
Agerton, Juanita Bridges, Barbara Crum, Mary Charles Dennis, Angie Dollar, Dawnn
Kilpatrick, and Betty Smith. The guest list included members of the bride and
groom’s families. A bridal
shower and afternoon tea was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Stone in
Auburn, Alabama on Sunday March 2. Hostesses included Bobbie Allen, Martha
Evans, Renee Gardner, Jane Henderson, Patty Spring, Beth Stone, Mary Lou Stone,
and Debbie Wade. A bridal
shower and dinner party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Court Smith in
Dallas, Texas on Saturday March 8. Hosts included Lisa and Matt Gildon and
Jennifer and Court Smith. The guest list included friends of the bride from
Dallas and New Jersey. A bridal
shower and afternoon tea was held at the home of Drs. Janice and Ward Harder of
Lynchburg, Tennessee on Sunday March 16. Hostesses included Doris Broadrick,
Connie Brown, Jeanette Eslick, Vicki Tuberville Fewell, Betty Grammer, Janice
Harder and Gale Smith. The groom’s family and friends and the mother of the
bride were in attendance. On Friday
April 25, friends of the bride’s mother included the bride in their weekly
Bible study at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dennis before honoring her with a
luncheon at J.
William's in Auburn, Alabama. Bachelor and
bachelorette parties were held in Auburn, Alabama on Thursday May 1.
Participants included members of the wedding party as well as friends and family
of the bride and groom. A bridesmaid
luncheon was held at the home of Mrs. Juanita Bridges in Auburn, Alabama on
Friday May 2. Angie Stephens served as co-hostess. The guest list included the
bridesmaids, flower girls, mothers of the bride and groom and sisters of the
groom. Following the
rehearsal on May 2, the groom’s parents entertained the couple with dinner at
the Olde Auburn Ale House. The guest list included family members and the
wedding party. On Saturday
May 17, the bride and groom were honored with a homecoming celebration at the
home of Dr. and Mrs. David Jeffcoat in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Hostesses
included Sherry Barron, Linda Haraway, Janet Jeffcoat, Brenda Lowery and Nancy
Wilkerson. |
